Automation · Israel

Automation is my hobby. Here's what runs my place.

At home almost everything runs on its own — lights, media library, server, recurring routines. This is my stack, and I can build something similar for you.

How it looks

example

night → morning · what the house did on its own

  1. 02:10a new episode is out — already in the media library
  2. 03:30photo archive backup: 214 new photos copied
  3. 06:45the boiler heated water before wake-up
  4. 07:00bedroom lights faded in instead of an alarm
  5. 07:05an AI routine collected this week's bills into a sheet
  6. 1 thing waits for you: renew the domain by Friday

My stack

for myself

Real names, each with a link to the official site — read what it is. I can put together the same for you.

Smart home

The house decides on its own when to turn on the lights, AC or water heater — and listens to voice commands in Hebrew and Russian.

Official Home Assistant demo — smart home dashboard
official Home Assistant demo
  • Home Assistant — the brain of the house — including add-ons and my own containers: brings every device into one place and runs scenarios on schedule
  • Zigbee2MQTT — translates signals from wireless sensors and switches into a language the house understands
  • Music Assistant — one player for every speaker in the house, instead of a separate app for each room

Media

New episodes show up in the library on their own once they air, movies arrive from a wishlist.

  • Sonarr — tracks shows from my list and adds a new episode the moment it airs
  • Radarr — same thing for movies: add it to the list, the movie shows up on its own when it's out
  • Jellyseerr — the whole family requests what to watch from here — the request goes straight to Sonarr or Radarr
  • Emby — where we actually watch it: my own library instead of another subscription

Home services

On the same server — any home service you want, in containers: I install and set up as many as you need. For example:

  • Immich — the family's photo archive with face search
  • Mealie — recipes, a weekly menu, a shopping list
  • Monica — a notebook about people: birthdays, who's related to whom, gift ideas

and anything else on request

Claude Code — I set up and maintain all of this with this tool — it runs on an AI subscription

What I can build for you

Built from the same pieces already running at my place.

Home

  • Lights, climate and the water heater — on a scenario and by voice
  • Voice speakers in Hebrew and Russian

Media

  • Your own media server, instead of another subscription
  • A wishlist instead of endlessly searching for what to watch

Home services

  • A family photo archive with face search
  • Recipes, a weekly menu and a shopping list, in one place

For orders, staff roles and work processes, that's not automation anymore — that's a system →

How it works

I set it up once and write down what I did — after that, it's yours.

  • Everything runs on your hardware and your accounts, not my server
  • Keys and passwords stay with you, not with me
  • Nothing is deleted for good, only to the trash
  • You can switch it off with one button, any time

What this won't be

  • A smart home for its own sake — every piece solves something, it doesn't just blink
  • An app that sends everything to someone else's cloud — wherever possible, the data stays with you
  • A just-in-case retainer — one-off or a subscription is your call; a subscription means I actually run the system

What it costs

Price and timeline arrive by Friday — after I've looked at your business.

What the price depends on

  • what we automate: home, media, documents, routines — or all of it
  • whether you need your own server
  • how many devices, folders or scenarios you have

What doesn't affect it

  • edits in the 30 days after delivery
  • a call by appointment, if you prefer voice
  • reasonable urgency

Every month — not to me

A server if one's needed, and AI usage if the scenarios use it. Sometimes a computer you already have at home or in the office is enough — then there's no server at all. Everything's in your name and paid directly — you'll see the numbers by Friday with the price.

The price holds. No ‘decide today’ discounts.

Questions

Can I have the same at my place?

Yes — tell me what you want, and I'll put together a similar stack on your own hardware and accounts.

Do I need a server?

Not always — a lot of this runs fine in the cloud. Your own server matters when you want the data (photos, passwords, documents) to stay only with you.

Do I need a separate computer?

No, a small quiet server is enough — I pick the right one for the job and the budget.

What if something breaks?

I fix it — free for 30 days after delivery. After that, if needed, by separate agreement.

Where is my data?

On your own server or your own cloud account, not with me. Access and keys are yours from day one.

Does it work without internet?

Lights, climate and the water heater, yes — control stays inside the house. Voice commands and email need internet.

Does it understand Hebrew?

Yes, and Russian too, mixed together.

How much does it cost every month?

Depends on what's set up: your own server costs almost nothing a month, cloud services and AI recognition are billed by actual use. You'll see the number by Friday, together with the setup price.

get in touch

Start with one message.

Say what the business is and what's in the way — that's enough. I'll check your Instagram and Google listing for the rest. No menus, no manager: I read it myself.
